1. How to set the lightning protection of air compressor?
The lightning protection of the air compressor is mainly installed on the large-capacity air compressor. In order to ensure that the air compressor is protected from lightning damage, under normal circumstances, the air compressor is not directly connected with the overhead power line.
In addition, the large-capacity air compressor should be equipped with separate lightning protection facilities, including installing lightning arrester in the overhead inlet line, grounding the metal skin of the inlet cable, installing lightning arrester and capacitor in the inlet line of the air compressor, installing lightning arrester at the neutral point of the air compressor and other measures.

2. What are the main protections for air compressors?
(1) All air compressors should be equipped with short circuit protection to protect the short circuit of the air compressor and the short circuit of the power supply circuit.
(2). Air compressors that are easy to overload should be equipped with overload protection.
(3) In the system that is not directly grounded, the ground protection to protect the single-phase grounding of the air compressor is installed.
(4). Phase break protection to prevent two-phase operation of air compressor.
(5) Disconnect the undervoltage protection of the air compressor when the power supply voltage is too low or the power is lost.
3. Why should the air compressor have undervoltage protection?
(1) If the power supply voltage is too much lower than the rated voltage of the air compressor, it will greatly increase the current of the air compressor, and even the phenomenon that the air compressor is charged and cannot turn up, resulting in a sharp increase in the current of the air compressor.
(2) If for some reason, the power supply voltage is temporarily lost and then recovers by itself, the air compressor will stop and then start by itself.
Once this happens, it may damage the mechanical equipment driven, and will also cause the wrong judgment of equipment outage, threatening personal safety, so the control circuit of the air compressor should have undervoltage protection, when the voltage of the power supply is reduced to a certain value, automatically disconnect the power switch of the air compressor (circuit breaker or contactor).
4. How to achieve the undervoltage protection of air compressor?
(1) The air compressor controlled by AC contactor, when the main circuit and control circuit are powered by the same power supply, the control circuit itself has an undervoltage protection effect.
Because when the power supply voltage is lower than 85% of the rated value, the suction of the contactor coil can no longer absorb the moving core, thus cutting off the power supply of the air compressor.
When the power supply voltage returns to normal, only by re-pressing the start button, the contactor coil can be energized, and the air compressor can start again.
In this way, the press cannot start by itself when the supply voltage is restored.
(2) If the control circuit of the AC contactor is powered by another power supply, the undervoltage relay should be used as the undervoltage protection device.
(3) For the 380V air compressor controlled by the automatic air circuit breaker, the undervoltage protection of the air compressor can be achieved by the undervoltage trip coil of the automatic air circuit breaker.
(4) The high voltage air compressor is controlled by the vacuum circuit breaker or the oil circuit breaker, and is realized by the relay protection device equipped with undervoltage protection.
